BBNaija Season 10 Premiere Date, Grand Prizes Unveiled

The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija – BBNaija season 10 is set to premiere with a bang as MultiChoice Nigeria confirmed that the reality show will kick off with a double launch event on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025.

This year’s edition will feature an unprecedented grand prize of ₦150 million, the highest in the show’s history since its debut in 2006, making it the most lucrative season yet.

At a media briefing on Wednesday, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice, said the upcoming season goes beyond just another round of entertainment.

“This season is a celebration of legacy,” Tejumola stated.

“It’s not just another BBNaija — it’s a tribute to a decade of unforgettable moments and dynamic personalities.”

“BBNaija has featured 197 housemates across nine seasons, with over ₦637 million awarded in prize money and **709 days of total broadcast time,” he noted.

The selection process for housemates kicked off with online registrations between May 3 and May 7, followed by physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16 to 18.

Organisers said the process was designed to scout for the most engaging and entertaining individuals across Nigeria.

Season 9, themed “No Loose Guard,” introduced a pairing twist where contestants entered the house in duos before being unpaired midway to compete individually.

Kellyrae eventually emerged as the winner, taking home ₦100 million and becoming the first married housemate to win the show. Other standout contestants included Wanni X Handi, the Mbadiwe twins, Onyeka, Nelly, and Shaun.
