President Tinubu Departs China, Heads To UK Via Dubai

Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ended his official visit to China on Friday, September 6, and immediately headed for London, United Kingdom.
This development was confirmed in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Onanuga noted that Tinubu would head to the United Kingdom (UK) through Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to his departure from China, President Tinubu engaged with representatives from the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization in China (NIDO China) as well as members of the Nigerian community at the China World Hotel.
He assured Nigerians residing in China that his administration is committed to providing effective governance and aims to emulate the successful initiatives that China has implemented for its citizens.
President Tinubu acknowledged that the current challenges faced by Nigerians are essential sacrifices that will enable the government to develop vital infrastructure, including improved roadways, reliable electricity, quality education, and other necessary services for the populace.
He emphasized that the recent rise in petrol prices is part of the sacrifices required as his economic reforms progress.

This meeting marked President Tinubu’s final official activity in China before his journey to London, United Kingdom, with a stop in Dubai.
The Nigerian leader characterized his official visit to China as “very good and successful.”
He highlighted his endeavors to enhance collaboration in areas such as infrastructure, trade, finance, energy, green economy, and mining during his bilateral talks with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
Additionally, President Tinubu led the Nigerian delegation in participating in the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
