Full List: EFCC Probes Ex-NNPCL Chief, Mele Kyari, 13 Others Over $2.9bn Refinery Funds

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds and misuse of authority by certain former senior officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd).
Allegations have been made against former chief executives, including Mele Kyari and Abubakar Yar’Adua, claiming they misappropriated approximately $2.96 billion designated for the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries.
This information was revealed in a letter dated April 28, addressed to Herbert Macaulay Way, the Group Managing Director at NNPC Towers, located in the Central Business District of Abuja.
Reports indicate that the anti-corruption agency is focusing its investigation on the allocation of $1.56 billion for the Port Harcourt refinery, $740 million for the Kaduna refinery, and $657 million for the Warri refinery.
