I never issued 21-day ultimatum to Tinubu over Nnamdi Kanu’s release — Tompolo

The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has debunked reports circulating on social media claiming he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement issued by his media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, the ex-militant leader described the report as “false, mischievous, and the handiwork of detractors.”

“We wish to state unequivocally that High Chief Ekpemupolo did not author or sanction the said publication,” the statement read.
“It is the handiwork of detractors attempting to discredit him because of his firm stance against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.”

Bebenimibo added that those behind the publication would “continue to fail”, noting that Tompolo remains committed to supporting the Federal Government’s fight against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.

Reiterating his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tompolo expressed full support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and even endorsed him for a second term, describing the administration’s efforts in the Niger Delta as commendable.

According to the statement, Tompolo’s focus remains on safeguarding national oil assets and ensuring peace and stability in the region.

The statement urged both the Federal Government and the general public to disregard the false report, emphasizing that it does not reflect Tompolo’s views or any official communication from him or his media office.

“Tompolo has no connection whatsoever with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu or any related matter,” the statement clarified. “Members of the public are advised to ignore such fake news being spread to cause unnecessary tension.”
