JUST IN: Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price, Assures Consistent Supply

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Limited has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N30.
This new price, which takes effect immediately, will see the cost per litre drop from N850 to N820.
The announcement was made by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, who confirmed that the adjustment is effective from August 12, 2025.
Chiejina emphasized that the price reduction is part of Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s unwavering commitment to national development. He assured the public of a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products, reinforcing the company’s role in the country’s energy sector.
“As part of our unwavering commitment to national development, Dangote Petroleum Refinery assures the public of a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products,” Chiejina said.
In line with its dedication to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions, Dangote Petroleum Refinery is set to begin the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria. This initiative is set to commence on August 15, 2025, marking a significant step towards reducing the environmental impact of fuel transportation.
The company’s proactive approach in improving fuel distribution logistics is expected to further enhance the efficiency of petroleum products delivery across the country.
