Kaduna Police to Enforce Tinted Glass Permit From Thursday

The Kaduna State Police Command has announced that it will commence full enforcement of tinted glass permit regulations across the state beginning Thursday.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement issued in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Hassan explained that the enforcement was in line with existing laws and directives governing vehicle use, particularly those fitted with tinted glasses.
“The command wishes to notify the public, particularly motorists, of the commencement of the enforcement of Vehicle Tinted Glass Permit Regulations, in line with extant laws and directives. This enforcement exercise will take effect from Thursday,” the statement read.
He advised vehicle owners and drivers with either factory-fitted or aftermarket tinted glasses to obtain the required permits to avoid run-ins with law enforcement officers.
According to Hassan, the registration process begins with an online application via https://possap.gov.ng
For physical verification, motorists are expected to visit the Kaduna Command Headquarters with the following documents:

– Vehicle particulars
– Proof of ownership
– Tinted glass specifications
The police spokesperson said the exercise was aimed at boosting public safety and security, urging residents to cooperate fully with the directive.
“Non-compliance will attract necessary sanctions as provided by law,” Hassan warned.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, had assured law-abiding citizens of the command’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment, while seeking continuous support from all stakeholders.
