No Right-Thinking Northerner Will Vote Tinubu in 2027 – Lamido

Former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has vowed to drag the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to court after he was allegedly barred from obtaining the nomination form to contest for the position of National Chairman.

Lamido stormed the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, on Monday morning, but was reportedly prevented from purchasing the form.

Visibly displeased, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs described the development as “unacceptable and undemocratic.”

Speaking with journalists outside the secretariat, Lamido accused the party of undermining its own principles.

“I came here to buy the form for the chairmanship position, but I was denied. This is not the democracy our party stands for,” he said. “If this continues, I will have no choice but to approach the court for justice.”

The former governor had earlier announced his intention to contest the position on his verified Facebook page, stating that he would obtain the form on Monday morning.

Lamido’s exclusion comes as the PDP prepares for its National Convention scheduled for November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The convention is expected to usher in a new set of National Working Committee (NWC) members amid rising tension within the party.
