Ned Nwoko: Regina Daniels’ Brother, Sammy West Remanded in Keffi Prison

The ongoing marital crisis between Nollywood star Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, took a dramatic turn on Thursday as her brother, Sammy West, was remanded in Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court.

Sammy was reportedly taken into custody without access to a lawyer, a development that has sparked outrage from his family and supporters online.

Regina’s eldest brother, known on Instagram as @sweezzy1, announced the development in an emotional post late Thursday. He accused Nwoko of using his influence to target their family.

In the post, he wrote: “He is currently at Keffi Prison! Dutse Magistrate has suddenly disappeared. Ned, you can pay everybody but you can’t pay for integrity!!”

He questioned the basis for Sammy’s arrest and remand, saying: “Everyone please help me ask Ned what is Sammy’s offense? Sammy said, ‘My lawyers are on their way. I was not given an opportunity to call no one! Please can I call them?’ Judge say remand him till they can file for his bail. Bail has been filed, magistrate has disappeared, no one available to sign. You sha want make he test the prison?? Ned, the most powerful man in the universe. You still no fit big pass God!”

Sweezzy also shared a video of Sammy lamenting the manner of his arrest. In the clip, Sammy alleges that he was denied his rights.

He said: “They didn’t allow me to call my lawyer. They didn’t allow my family to see me since I was arrested on Monday. Nobody knows where I was taken to.”

Reports indicate that Sammy was arrested in Lagos on Monday and allegedly flown to Abuja in a private jet, reportedly on the instructions of Senator Ned Nwoko.

Responding on her Instagram page, Regina Daniels claimed that Sammy was arrested alongside their sister as part of a plot to pressure her into submitting to rehabilitation—an allegation tied to the messy public fallout between her and her husband.

According to Regina, Senator Nwoko’s recent actions are an attempt to force her to “submit herself” after she publicly accused him of domestic violence, a claim he countered by alleging that the actress struggles with substance abuse.

Regina insisted the arrests were strategic. She said the arrest was meant to “force her” into compliance amid their highly publicised breakup.
