Nigerian Army Opens Portal for 2026 Short Service Recruitment

The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of online applications for the 2026 Short Service Combatant (SSC) Course 49, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for enlistment into its combat and combat support arms.

The announcement was made in a brief statement posted on the Army’s official Facebook page on Thursday, describing the exercise as a rare opportunity for patriotic citizens to serve their nation.

“This exercise presents a unique opportunity for eligible Nigerians to serve their fatherland in the Combat Arms and Combat Support Arms of the Nigerian Army,” the statement read.

According to the Army, all interested and qualified applicants are expected to visit the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng/military-secretary for comprehensive information and detailed registration guidelines.
