President Tinubu Jets Out On 10-Day Europe Vacation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today, September 4, depart Abuja for a working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Wednesday, disclosed that the vacation will last 10 working days.
According to him, the President will spend the period between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
Onanuga explained that during the retreat, Tinubu would use the opportunity to appraise his administration’s midterm performance and assess key milestones.
“He will also use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.
“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement read.
The aide assured that while abroad, Tinubu would remain fully engaged with governance activities, noting that he would continue to work with his team.

Onanuga stressed that the President would return to Nigeria in about a fortnight.
It will be recalled that on April 2, 2025, Tinubu embarked on a short working visit to Paris, France.
At the time, opposition figures criticised his prolonged stay abroad, citing worsening insecurity at home.
On April 17, the Presidency clarified that the President “remained fully engaged in Nigeria’s governance even though he was away in Europe.”
