Regina Knows I’ve Got Her Back’ - Annie Idibia Clears the Air After Liking Laila's Post 'Mistakenly'

Popular actress and model, Annie Macaulay Idibia, has broken her silence after facing heavy backlash for liking a controversial Instagram post made by Senator Ned Nwoko’s fifth wife, Laila Charani, against Regina Daniels.

Laila had accused Regina Daniels on Thursday of introducing her to drugs and negatively influencing young girls around her. In her now-viral post, she wrote:

“This is why I will not trust my daughters around you unsupervised, especially when I found out that you were sleeping with every single girl around you.”

Her allegations sparked outrage online, but Annie’s “like” on the post ignited even more heated reactions, with many questioning her loyalty to Regina, who is known to be her close friend.

Addressing the controversy in an Instagram story, Annie insisted that her engagement with the post was unintentional.

She wrote: “In the process of reading the rubbish that was alleged about my baby, Regina, I liked the post mistakenly. Over here, we don’t play with loyalty, and my baby knows I have her back, front, and side. Make una rest abeg.”

Her clarification comes amid a wave of criticism from fans who accused her of supporting Laila’s claims.

Laila’s allegations surfaced during an increasingly bitter marital crisis between Senator Ned Nwoko and his sixth wife, Regina Daniels.

Regina had earlier accused the senator of domestic violence, prompting Nwoko to fire back with claims that she was abusing drugs — an accusation Regina vehemently denied.

The public feud has continued to generate intense discussion across social media, with fans and supporters splitting into camps.

While the controversy around the Nwoko household continues to unfold, Annie stressed that her loyalty to Regina Daniels remains unwavering.

Her statement appears to have calmed some tensions online, though reactions continue to trail Laila’s explosive accusations and the couple’s marital troubles.
