Tinubu Ends Work vacation, Set For Abuja Return

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.
The President departed for France on September 4 to spend part of his annual holiday, which was initially scheduled to last ten working days between France and the United Kingdom.
While in Paris last week, Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen partnerships for mutual prosperity and global stability.
In a statement on Monday, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that Tinubu had concluded his holiday earlier than planned and would return to the country on Tuesday.
“The President has now concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties,” Onanuga said.
It is worth noting that since assuming office in May 2023, President Tinubu has maintained a consistent record of foreign engagements, travelling to several countries for state visits, summits, and working holidays.
His trips — often to Europe, the United States, and the Middle East — have attracted both commendation for boosting diplomatic ties and criticism from some quarters over the frequency and cost implications.
