‘I Have No Involvement’ – Uche Montana Denies Link to Regina Daniels’ Alleged Drug Crisis
Nollywood actress, Uche Montana, has firmly denied allegations linking her to the alleged drug-related crisis involving fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Montana, in a statement posted on Instagram on Monday, addressed rising speculation after Nwoko, in a lengthy Facebook post, accused several individuals close to Regina, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, of undermining his wife’s rehabilitation process.
According to Nwoko, the named individuals allegedly defied medical advice by gaining access to Regina during therapy and “bringing her the same drugs she was being treated for.”
Reacting to the claim, Montana said her name was being wrongly dragged into a situation she knew nothing about.
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims,” she wrote.
“For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
Her statement is the latest twist in the ongoing controversy around the Nollywood star’s marriage.
The drama deepened two weeks earlier when Regina Daniels alleged in a viral video that she was a victim of domestic abuse, describing herself as a “slave” in her husband’s home.
Nwoko rejected the claims, saying Regina was instead struggling with “drug and alcohol addiction.” He further alleged that she physically assaulted domestic workers in the home.
His subsequent Facebook post, where he mentioned Montana and others as allegedly contributing to Regina’s struggles, caused a fresh wave of online backlash and sparked widespread speculation.
Montana’s rebuttal adds another layer to a scandal that has divided public opinion and raised concerns about the turbulent dynamics within the Nwoko household.
With both sides sticking to sharply different accounts, the situation remains fluid, and the full picture of events is still unclear.
For now, Montana says she simply wants her name removed from the unfolding drama, insisting she has no role in the allegations making the rounds.
