Family Background and Education

Daniel Olukoya was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Olukoya on 15th July 1957 in Akure, Ondo State. Daniel’s mother was a trader while his father was a civil servant who worked in the Police Force. Mr. Olukoya was also a pastor at a Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C).

Career

3 years later after earning his Ph.D., Dr. Daniel Olukoya returned to Nigeria as a Geneticist. He joined the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) during his practice in the field. Since then, he has published over 70 works including articles and research.

Also, Dr. D.K. Olukoya established a non-governmental organization to inspire and motivate youths to develop skills related to biology and biotechnology. The organization is named Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation.

Apart from being a Geneticist, Dr. D.K. Olukoya is a minister of God and a spiritual father to many. After relocating back to Nigeria, he started ministering to people using his apartment in Yaba, Lagos. He later got a place in Yaba where he started ministry properly.
