2027 Election: Prophecy Emerges On Peter Obi’s Presidential Ambition

The founder of Champion Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla, has declared that former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, is destined to become Nigeria’s president, whether in 2027 or 2031.
Recall that Obi was the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
However, amid ongoing political shifts ahead of the next election, Iginla, who was addressing his congregation during a live Sunday service on June 6, 2027, stated that though the exact timing of Obi’s presidency remains unclear, it is divinely ordained.
Prophet Iginla made this declaration while speaking on the future of Nigeria’s leadership and the dynamics shaping the next presidential election.
“I’m a prophet; I am neither here nor there. But the person of Peter Obi, it is in his destiny to sit on the number one seat. I cannot tell whether it is now or 2031, but it is in his destiny,” he said.
The cleric urged the former Anambra State governor to remain steadfast and cautious with political alliances ahead of the next general election.

In what many believe to be a veiled reference to talks around opposition coalitions, Prophet Iginla strongly cautioned Obi against settling for a deputy position in any power-sharing arrangement.
“Don’t go for a second-class citizen role. If they give you number one, then you are prepared. If they give you number two, don’t lose your political assets. Don’t fall into a trap,” he warned.
He continued: “There are mighty armies behind you. If you lose your army, you will not be a general. It is better to wait patiently with your political capital than to sell your birthright to Jacob.”
Although Iginla did not directly mention President Bola Tinubu, he described the current occupant of Nigeria’s highest office as a “lion”, suggesting that unseating him would require a figure of equal or greater strength.
“The person sitting on the throne is a lion. Nigerians need someone who also has the lion in him to take that seat. Anything short of that is a waste of political capital,” Iginla declared.
He affirmed that as of now, no spiritual shift has occurred to suggest a change in power.
“For now, the person sitting there is still seated, and I see the seats all complete. If there is a change, I will give you a spiritual update. But for now, this is how it is,” he concluded.
Prophet Iginla’s remarks come amid growing speculation over opposition realignment and presidential ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
