The winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has officially received her grand prize of ₦150 million, which includes ₦80 million cash and a brand-new Innoson SUV, following her victory in the “10/10” edition of the reality TV show.

The prize presentation ceremony took place on Tuesday in Lagos, drawing excitement from fans, former housemates, and the show’s organisers.

The 23-year-old actress and fashion designer from Oyo State appeared radiant as she posed beside her gleaming white SUV wrapped in ribbons and held up her symbolic cheque.

Social media quickly lit up with celebration as hashtags #ImisiTheQueen and #BBNaija10Winner dominated trends across Nigeria and beyond.

The event also featured representatives of Innoson Motors and other corporate sponsors, who presented the keys to her new SUV before posing for photos with the new reality star.

Imisi’s path to victory was anything but easy. Over 10 weeks, she survived nominations, tense evictions, and emotional rollercoasters to emerge the overall winner among 28 contestants.

Her performance in various tasks, teamwork, and unfiltered emotional intelligence endeared her to millions of viewers across Africa.

Imisi polled an overwhelming 42.8% of the total votes, far ahead of Dede (15.94%) and Koyin (15.23%). Other finalists, including Sultana, Kola, Jason Jae, Mensan, Isabella, and Kaybobo, trailed behind with lower percentages.

Observers described her victory as a product of “authenticity and emotional balance,” traits that resonated deeply with fans who saw her as relatable and sincere.

Shortly after the ceremony, social media erupted with congratulatory posts from fans, celebrities, and former housemates.

Many hailed Imisi as “one of the most deserving winners” in the show’s history, commending her calm and strategic approach to challenges.

“She didn’t play loud; she played smart,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

However, conversations also trailed her victory, with some critics tagging her approach as a “pity vote” strategy — a term used in previous seasons to describe emotionally driven fan support.

Beyond Imisi’s celebration, emotions ran high among evicted housemates who reunited after the finale on Sunday night.

The mini reunion was filled with laughter, hugs, and reflections on the intense but transformative 10-week journey that shaped each contestant’s career path.

The 10th season of Big Brother Naija, tagged “10/10”, was celebrated for its innovative tasks, emotional storytelling, and strong fan engagement.

The season, which ran for 72 days, attracted millions of viewers and became one of the most talked-about television shows in Africa, with several contestants already securing brand endorsements and acting offers.
