Tinubu To Attend 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu will attend the 8th edition of the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) as the Special Guest of Honour, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced on Friday.
The summit is scheduled to hold from November 11 to 13, 2025, in Abuja, and will focus on mobilising diaspora investment to accelerate regional and national development.
The NDIS, organised annually by NiDCOM, serves as a strategic platform to attract and channel investments from Nigerians abroad into key sectors of the national economy.
Since its inception in 2018, the summit has continued to grow in scale and impact, drawing investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from across the world to explore opportunities in real estate, healthcare, agriculture, ICT, energy, manufacturing, and the creative industries.
Announcing the details at a press briefing in Abuja, NiDCOM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the summit had become “a bridge between Nigeria and its vast global diaspora network of investors.”
“The last edition of the Summit, held in November 2024, showed just how much momentum NDIS has built over the years,” she stated.

“It welcomed over 1,500 participants, both online and in person, including 236 investors, 1,197 business owners, and 168 government officials.”
Dabiri-Erewa disclosed that the 2024 summit generated about ₦673 million in investment deals across multiple sectors, highlighting the growing confidence of diaspora investors in Nigeria’s economy.
“Fifty-six investment pitches were presented during the 2024 edition, covering eight strategic sectors of the economy,” she said.
“These ideas were not just pitched but attracted about 168 deals worth about ₦673 million. This shows how much momentum the Summit has built over the years.”
She also noted that since inception, the NDIS had contributed more than ₦500 million to the local economy through services procured from SMEs, creatives, and event vendors during previous summits.
Dabiri-Erewa confirmed that President Tinubu would once again headline the summit, adding that his participation underscored the administration’s commitment to deepening diaspora engagement and investment.
“We are honoured that His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will once again serve as the Special Guest of Honour,” she announced.
“We anticipate the participation of distinguished business leaders, diaspora investors, policy champions, and creative icons who continue to inspire confidence in Nigeria’s potential.”
The NiDCOM chief said the 2025 edition will highlight transformative sectors vital to Nigeria’s economic diversification and global competitiveness.
“This year, we will continue to spotlight finance and fintech, ICT, creative industries, sports and entertainment, agribusiness, healthcare, education, real estate and infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy,” she said.
The theme for the 2025 summit is “Fast-Tracking Regional and National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment.”
