‘I Give Up’ – Regina Daniels Breaks Down in Fresh Video, Alleges Abuse, Corruption in Brother’s Ordeal
Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has sparked fresh concerns after posting a highly emotional video in the early hours of Friday, tearfully declaring that she is overwhelmed by family troubles and the continued detention of her brother, Sammy West.
The actress, visibly distressed, said she had reached a breaking point emotionally and mentally.
In the clip shared on her Instagram Story, she cried as she voiced her struggles: “I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy. I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody.”
Daniels had only hours earlier announced a rare reconciliation between her long-estranged parents, who she described as “sworn enemies.” She said both parents reunited in Abuja solely to fight for Sammy’s release.
She wrote: “Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness.”
According to the actress, her parents have been meeting authorities in Abuja in a desperate attempt to secure Sammy’s freedom after his arrest earlier in the week.
‘If I Have to March There Myself, I Will’
Regina lamented that her brother’s detention was dragging on despite assurances of his imminent release.
She said: “Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out, even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!”
A separate video also posted by Daniels showed actress Mercy Johnson visiting a detention facility and saying, “He’s not here,” before confirming she would continue searching elsewhere.
‘I Will Go Back’ – Actress Hints at Returning to Ned Nwoko Amid Pressure
In another emotional moment, Regina hinted that the family crisis may force her to return to her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
She cried: “Every time I wake up, I say one thing, oh my brother, today I hear good news. Then tomorrow I hear another thing. What’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back.”
In a more troubling post shared on Friday, the actress accused the police of corruption and alleged that her brother’s arrest was orchestrated to force her submission.
She wrote: “What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins.”
The actress further alleged that she is being pressured to return to her husband under dehumanising conditions.
Her words: “I will return if that’s the only way, do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return… Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria. That’s what this means. We lost. Or rather, I lost.”
Earlier Allegations of Domestic Violence Resurface
Her latest outburst comes weeks after Regina hinted in a viral video on October 18 that she had suffered domestic violence.
In the clip, the actress, surrounded by aides and relatives, said: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Senator Nwoko denied the allegations shortly after. He claimed Regina’s behaviour stemmed from “drug and alcohol abuse” and insisted she needed rehabilitation.
It was reported earlier that Sammy West was arrested in Lagos on Monday and allegedly flown to Abuja on a private jet linked to Senator Nwoko.
Regina alleged that police officers denied Sammy the opportunity to contact a lawyer or family.
A viral voice recording from Sammy said:
“They didn’t allow me to call my lawyer. They didn’t allow my family to see me since I was arrested on Monday. Nobody knows where I was taken to.”
The family also claimed that another sibling was detained briefly during the Monday arrest.
Daniels Pleads with Nigerians to Stop Attacking Her Mother
Amid the chaos, the actress released another video on Wednesday begging Nigerians not to drag her mother into the controversy.
She described her mother as her “pillar and protector,” insisting that the ongoing family crisis was tearing everyone apart.
