BREAKING: Tinubu Sends 32 Ambassadorial Nominees to Senate [Full List]
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has forwarded the names of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, including Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, and Reno Omokri, ex-Presidential aide.
The disclosure was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement on Saturday.
The new list comes just days after the President sent a first batch of three nominees for Senate screening and confirmation.
In two letters addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu requested expedited confirmation of 15 career ambassadors and 17 non-career ambassadors.
The nominations include four women among career ambassadors and six women among non-career ambassadors.

Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu (Abia), former presidential aide
Reno Omokri (Delta), ex-Presidential aide
Mahmud Yakubu, former INEC chairman
Erelu Angela Adebayo, former Ekiti First Lady
Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Enugu governor
Other distinguished names are Tasiu Musa Maigari, former Katsina House of Assembly speaker; Yakubu N. Gambo, former Plateau Commissioner; Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut, former Plateau senator; Otunba Femi Pedro, ex-Lagos deputy governor; and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (Osun), former Aviation Minister.
Also included are Barrister Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu (Anambra), Fatima Florence Ajimobi (Oyo), Lola Akande, Grace Bent (Adamawa), Victor Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo), and former Ambassador to the Holy See, Paul Oga Adikwu (Benue).

Others are Abimbola Samuel Reuben (Ondo), Yvonne Ehinosen Odumah (Edo), Hamza Mohammed Salau (Niger), Shehu Barde (Katsina), Ahmed Mohammed Monguno (Borno), Muhammad Saidu Dahiru (Kaduna), Olatunji Ahmed Sulu Gambari (Kwara), and Wahab Adekola Akande (Osun).
The nominees are expected to be posted to key countries and international organizations where Nigeria maintains strong bilateral relations, including China, India, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, UAE, Qatar, South Africa, Kenya, as well as Permanent Missions to the UN, UNESCO, and African Union.
Assignments will be made after Senate confirmation.
Last week, President Tinubu sent three ambassadorial nominees: Ambassador Ayodele Oke (Oyo), Ambassador Amin Mohammed Dalhatu (Jigawa), and Retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are (Ogun), who are in line for postings to the UK, USA, or France after confirmation.
President Tinubu said more ambassadorial nominees will be announced in due course.
