Breaking: APC's Ndume Sacked As Senate Chief Whip

The Senate officially announced the dismissal of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South) from his position as Chief Whip on Wednesday.

During the plenary session, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate Caucus members supported Ndume’s removal as Senate Chief Whip through a voice vote conducted by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Tahir Mungono (Borno North) was appointed as Ndume’s replacement.

This decision was made following Ndume’s recent criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

In a letter sent to the Senate Caucus by the ruling party’s national leadership, the APC requested Ndume to step down from his APC membership and join any opposition party of his choosing.
