Dangote Refinery Unveils First Petrol Sample
Aliko Dangote, the head of Dangote Group, has officially presented the first sample of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), widely known as petrol or fuel, produced at the Dangote Refinery.
This announcement was made on Tuesday during a live broadcast from the refinery situated in the Ibeju-Lekki Area of Lagos State.
It is worth noting that the refinery, which boasts a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is currently in the process of testing the product.
In his remarks, Dangote expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the government’s support of the company.
He also praised the government’s decision to use the Naira for crude oil transactions, stating that this move will enhance the stability of the Naira.
He said: “I would like to salute the people of Nigeria and the government of President Bola Tinubu for giving us the platform for growth, development, and prosperity. I also want to thank him personally for creating the idea of the Naira for crude. Doing that will give Naira stability.
“As we have this refinery working, it will show the true consumption of Nigeria; we can track every loaded truck and ship.”
