Ex-presidential Aide, Doyin Okupe Is Dead

A former presidential spokesperson, Dr. Doyin Okupe, is reported to have passed away.

According to SaharaReporters, family members have indicated that Doyin Okupe died on Friday at the age of 71.

Doyin Okupe held the position of senior adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan and subsequently served as the Director-General for Peter Obi’s 2023 Presidential Campaign.

In December 2022, he withdrew from Obi’s campaign following a conviction related to money laundering.

He also resigned from the Labour Party after the conclusion of the 2023 general elections.
