Delta Governor Oborevwori’s Aide, Love Shimite Is Dead

The Special Adviser on Trade and Export to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Love Shimite, has reportedly passed away.

Reports on Monday revealed that Shimite died in the early hours of Monday, April 21, amid Easter celebration, after what sources have described as a short illness.

As of this report, the details surrounding her death remain unclear.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, confirmed that Shimite was pronounced dead at the hospital where she was admitted.

Edafe also mentioned that her husband is currently in protective custody, not under arrest, due to threats that have allegedly been made against him.

Edafe said, “He (the husband) was the one who called to report that his wife died early this morning and that he was receiving threats from her family, who feared he might be attacked. It was on this basis that we went to his house and brought him in for his own safety.”

However, Edafe disclosed that the deceased’s family later lodged a formal complaint with the police, expressing suspicion that the husband may have had a role in her death.
