BREAKING: Legendary Nigerian Musician, Onyeka Onwenu Is Dead
Famous Nigerian vocalist and actress, Onyeka Onwenu, has been confirmed to have passed away at 72 years old.
It is believed that Onwenu died on Tuesday evening at the Reddington Hospital in Lagos following a collapse during Mrs Stella Okoli’s birthday celebration.
According to TheNiche, a witness present at the event has verified the information.
“It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today (Tuesday, July 30, 2024), and after performing, she slumped.
“She was taken to Reddington Hospital, and she couldn’t make it,” the eyewitness said.
As of the time of this publication, the family of the deceased has not made any announcement regarding her passing.
Onwenu’s musical legacy includes albums like In The Morning Light and Dancing In The Sun.
