SIM registration was introduced on March 20th, 2011. This was after NCC instructed all the network providers to block any Users with no complete registration.

If you are an MTN user, you can now check your registration status by using these two methods.

• Via USSD Code

You can check MTN registration status by dialing *789*1#. After dialing the code, your status will be displayed whether it’s registered or not.

• Via Text Messages

You can also send REG as a text message to 789 and your registration status will be confirmed, whether registered or not.

How To Check Your Glo SIM Registration Status

For Glo users, you can only verify your SIM registration status by sending REG as a message to 746 or 3456 from the SIM.

After sending the message, your sim registration confirmation message will be sent to you.

How To Check Your Airtel SIM Registration Status

You can check your Airtel SIM registration status via the listed 3 methods below.

• Via Calling Customer Care Number

You can check by calling the customer care number dedicated to it. By dialing 111

• Via USSD Code

You can also check by dialing *746# on the SIM

• Via E-mail address

You can also send email messages to customercare@ng.airtel.com

Note: After performing any of the above steps. An Airtel sim registration confirmation message will be sent to you. To verify whether it’s registered or not.

How To Check Your  Registration Status for 9Mobile or Etisalat User

There are also two methods to check the registration status for Etisalat or 9Mobile users.

• Via Calling

You can also call 200 or 746 on your Etisalat SIM to verify your registration status.

• Via E-mail address

You can also email Etisalat official address to confirm your registration status via care@etisalat.com.ng
