Ex-Vice President, Osinbajo Bags Fresh Appointment
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary African Art London (MoMCAAL) has appointed the immediate former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, as the Chairman of its Board of Advisors.
The Advisory Board includes notable members such as Mr. Franklin Kilbourn, Executive Chairman of Strauss & Co. in South Africa; Mr. Lamon Rutten, Board Member of Ajlan & Brothers in Saudi Arabia; Mr. Olufemi Akinsanya, Chairman of First Ally Capital; and Mr. Olusegun Paul Andrew, Executive Chairman of MoMCAAL.
Additionally, Bonnie Greer, OBE, an American-born broadcaster, playwright, critic, and columnist, contributes her expertise as a Museum Advisor for the project.
MoMCAAL is described as “a dynamic institution dedicated to celebrating the rich tapestry of African creativity,” with a belief in “the power of art to transcend borders, foster understanding, and inspire dialogue.”
The vision for the museum was developed and promoted by Mr. Olusegun Paul Andrew, who has meticulously crafted the vision plan for MoMCAAL.
The museum is dedicated to highlighting the rich and varied artistic expressions of Africa, providing a venue for contemporary African artists to convey their viewpoints, narratives, and experiences through a range of artistic mediums, such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation.
In addition to its exhibitions, MoMCAAL actively involves visitors through workshops, artist residencies, and educational initiatives.
