Insecurity: Northern Govs, Traditional Rulers Meet With CDS Musa

Sitting Governors from across the 19 states in the Northern part of Nigeria convened on Monday with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to deliberate on insecurity and other significant issues affecting the region.

Traditional leaders from the area also participated in the meeting, which took place in Kaduna.

This gathering was part of the Northern States Governors’ Forum’s initiative to engage with essential stakeholders and tackle urgent matters, particularly the persistent insecurity, poverty, the out-of-school-children crisis, and various socio-economic difficulties afflicting the region.

General Musa provided the governors with an update on the military’s initiatives to combat banditry, terrorism, and other security threats facing the Northern region.

Attendees included the governors of Kaduna, Gombe, Zamfara, Nasarawa, Borno, Bauchi, Kwara, and Adamawa states, along with deputy governors from other Northern states.
