In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu on Security, Col Ahmed Usman (rtd), the state highlighted the significance of negotiation as opposed to extended conflict.

The government remarked that “numerous historical disputes have not been resolved solely through the application of force, but rather through substantial dialogue,” reiterating that the state is receptive to negotiations with bandits who show a sincere intention to surrender and reintegrate harmoniously into society.

Additionally, the government expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the service chiefs, security commanders, and frontline personnel for their steadfast efforts in protecting the region.

“Their sacrifices are deeply appreciated. May Allah bless the souls of our fallen heroes and grant comfort to their families,” the statement read.
