Operatives of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC) successfully intercepted a vehicle laden with a significant quantity of ammunition in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Dr. Nasir Mu’azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, reported that this incident took place on Tuesday at around 7:30 PM in Batsari town.

He stated that, acting on reliable intelligence, members of the Community Watch Corps halted a commercial vehicle bearing the license plate BTR 45 XA. Upon conducting an inspection, they uncovered a concealed cache of ammunition located beneath a seat, which comprised 610 rounds intended for AK-47 and General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) rifles, along with two magazines.

A suspicious individual, noted to be dressed in white voile attire, was identified as the person responsible for hiding the ammunition. However, he successfully evaded apprehension during the operation.
