Tinubu Scraps Niger Delta Ministry, Sports Development Ministry
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council (FEC) have abolished the Niger Delta Ministry along with the Ministry of Sports Development.
These resolutions were made during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council held on Wednesday in Abuja, as reported on the X account of Bayo Onanuga.
A new ministry dedicated to regional development will be established to manage all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission.
The responsibilities of the Ministry of Sports will now be assumed by the National Sports Commission.
Additionally, the Federal Executive Council has sanctioned the consolidation of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.
