Tinubu Sacks Five Ministers, Makes Seven New Appointments
Months following increasing demands for President Bola Tinubu to restructure his cabinet, the former governor of Lagos State dismissed five of his ministers on Wednesday.
Additionally, he reallocated ten ministers to different portfolios and nominated seven new ministers, pending Senate approval.
The President removed Uju-Ken Ohanenye from the position of Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John from the role of Minister of Tourism; Tahir Mamman from the office of Minister of Education; Abdullahi Gwarzo from Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development; and Jamila Ibrahim from the position of Minister of Youth Development.
“The appointment of Shehu Dikko as Chairman of the National Sports Commission. The appointment of Sunday Akin Dare as Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation working from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation,” the Presidency said.
