I’m Not Leaving PDP, Says Abba Moro

Senate Minority Leader and Benue South senator, Abba Moro, has dismissed reports claiming he is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing them as “misleading” and the handiwork of mischief makers.

Moro, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Media Adviser, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun, said the claims were baseless and insisted he had not held discussions with anyone about defecting.

According to the statement, the lawmaker, who is a founding member of the PDP, reaffirmed his loyalty to the party.

“Senator Moro finds the rumour ridiculous as there’s no discussion anywhere with anybody to that effect. The Senator, a founding member of PDP, remains fully committed to the ideals and values of the party, and will continue to remain with it,” the statement read.

Internal Crisis Will Be Resolved, Says Minority Leader

Moro acknowledged the ongoing internal wranglings within the PDP but expressed confidence in the party’s ability to resolve its challenges through its established internal conflict-resolution mechanisms.

Calls for Continued Loyalty

The senator urged party supporters and the general public to remain steadfast and work collectively toward rebuilding the party and restoring it to winning strength.

More reactions are expected from PDP leaders as efforts to stabilise the party continue.
