I Paid N5 Million To SAN To Get Out Of Prison – Bobrisky Claims

In a recently released audio message, Nigerian controversial crossdresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, asserted that he had paid N5 million in advance to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in an effort to obtain a Federal Government pardon for money laundering allegations filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bobrisky stated that the SAN had initially requested N10 million; however, he was unable to gather the complete sum due to the freezing of his bank account by the EFCC.
This information was disclosed in a video shared by the well-known social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, on Monday, October 7, 2024.
The call recording was reportedly made on May 16, 2024, as per VDM’s account.
Bobrisky mentioned that his godfather assisted him by providing the initial N5 million. Nevertheless, he refrained from seeking additional financial help, as his godfather had already arranged for him to reside in a fully furnished apartment close to the prison.
Furthermore, Bobrisky clarified that he was not incarcerated, contrary to popular belief.
He said: “Truth be told, I won’t lie to you, you’re my person. I’m not in prison, but I’m around there. They got me an apartment because of my godfather. My godfather was able to say, ‘Never, you will not smell that prison.’

“Let the world think that, but you will never.” “So, he was able to talk to the Deputy Controller in Nigeria and he said that as long as Bob is not posting or saying anything, they can put me close to the place so I can always come inside and see people, and welcome my family. Nobody needs to know.”
Bobrisky explained that they were trying to secure a pardon to expedite his release. “I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we get the amnesty, I could leave by the first week of next month. The SAN asked for N10 million, which I could have transferred, but my account is frozen. My godfather gave me N5 million and we sent it to the SAN two weeks ago. He has already submitted the pardon request.”
Bobrisky revealed that his godfather facilitated his living arrangements with assistance from the Deputy Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
He mentioned, “Concerns arose about placing me in a male facility due to potential harassment, so they organized for me to reside nearby, provided I refrain from posting or making any statements.”
This disclosure came after Bobrisky previously asserted that operatives from the EFCC demanded and accepted N15 million to dismiss the money laundering allegations against him.
The crossdresser claimed that his godfather, along with the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, arranged for him to serve a six-month sentence in a private residence instead of in prison.
Additionally, he alleged that human rights attorney Femi Falana sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in return for ₦10 million.
