Obasanjo Storms Minna To Meet IBB, Abdulsalami, Gusau

Nigeria’s Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, arrived in Minna, the capital of Niger State, on Sunday evening.
Upon his arrival, Obasanjo proceeded directly to the hilltop residence of former Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB).
Reports revealed that Obasanjo landed in Minna around 4:15 PM via a chartered flight from Benin City, where he had attended the 90th birthday celebration of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
It was also reported that at General Babangida’s residence, he was joined by another former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), along with former National Security Adviser General Aliyu Gusau (rtd), who were awaiting his arrival.
The intent behind Obasanjo’s visit is not explicitly defined; however, the gathering of these prominent figures has generated conjecture regarding its importance within the political arena.
According to an insider acquainted with the visit, the four elder statesmen engaged in a private meeting that lasted approximately one hour, after which Obasanjo departed Minna at around 6:20 PM.
The source said, “The meeting might not be unconnected with national issues especially the current hardship being faced by Nigerians. But I am not confirming to you what was discussed.
