NNPC Vs Dangote Refinery: Rewane Predicts More Fuel Price Decline

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as petrol or fuel, to N1,030 per litre.

This change was observed by journalists at various NNPCL stations in Abuja, the nation’s capital city on Wednesday.

This adjustment follows the NNPCL’s decision to end its exclusive purchasing agreement with Dangote Refinery.

As a result, the NNPCL will no longer be the sole buyer, allowing marketers to negotiate prices directly with Dangote Refinery.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the fuel was previously priced at N897 per litre.

Additionally, it was observed that in Lagos, the price of fuel, which was once N885 per litre, has now risen to N998, leading to long queues at the stations.
