10th Times Grammy Award Winner, Justin Timberlake Arrested In New York City
American Music Icon Justin Timberlake has been detained in New York City on allegations related to driving while under the influence.
The Pop Sensation was caught early Tuesday morning in Sag Harbor, a wealthy community in the Hamptons, a favored getaway spot for stars on Long Island.
A court official told the BBC that Timberlake is anticipated to face legal proceedings and will be formally charged soon.
The Sag Harbor police and Timberlake’s team have been approached by journalists for their side of the story, but no significant details have been shared as of this report.
Timberlake, who is set to embark on a global tour of his sixth album, “Everything I Thought It Was”, has spoken openly in the past about seeking help for excessive drinking.
The 43-year-old entertainer is also a globally recognised actor, songwriter and one of the best-selling music artists.
He has been set to play in two concerts in Chicago this weekend, and then a performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden the following Tuesday.
